Aparna Bawa is the chief operating officer and interim chief legal officer for Zoom.

Prior to Zoom, she served as the senior vice president and general counsel for Magento Commerce, an e-commerce platform later purchased by Adobe. Before Magento, Bawa was the vice president and general counsel for Nimble Storage, an enterprise flash storage company. While there, she played an instrumental role in the company’s 2013 IPO. She also supervised Nimble’s 2017 sale to Hewlett Packard.

Previously, Bawa directed legal and corporate development for Inphi Corp. She launched her career as a corporate and securities attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. She also worked for Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers, managing numerous M&A and IPO transactions for tech clients.

Bawa earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Marquette University and her J.D. from Harvard Law School.
