Terry Alan Shirey is Executive Vice President, President and CEO of Nevada State Bank, a subsidiary of the Company. He served as Chief Financial Officer for six years before being named President and COO in September 2014. Shirey oversees all five banking lines of business – retail, real estate, small business, commercial, and private banking – as well as all bank operations in Nevada. A licensed certified public accountant (CPA), Shirey has more than 19 years of experience in the financial industry, with the past 12 spent managing finance and operations for major banks and bank holding companies. Prior to joining the banking industry, he was an audit manager for the CPA firm of McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, supervising audits of financial institutions, including multi-bank holding companies. Shirey holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce, as Vice-Chair of the College of Southern Nevada Foundation and is the Immediate Past-Chairman of the Nevada Bankers Association.
