Scott J. McLean is President and Chief Operating Officer of Zions Bancorporation. He was named President in March of 2014, prior to which he served as CEO of its affiliate, Amegy Bank. Before joining Amegy in 2002, he was with Texas Commerce Bank/JPMorgan Chase for 23 years. From 1998 to 2001, he served as president of JPMorgan Chase in Houston. Mr. McLean held several executive positions at Texas Commerce Bank from 1979 to 1998, including chairman of the bank in Greenway Plaza (1982-1985), president in Dallas (1985-1993) and chairman in El Paso (1993-1997). Mr. McLean is active in the community, serving as a trustee of Southern Methodist University, including receiving the distinguished alumni award. He is a trustee emeritus of the United Way of Greater Houston, where he also served as chairman of its board. Mr. McLean is a former director of CenterPoint Energy and is a former trustee of Memorial Hermann Healthcare System. He received a bachelor’s of business administration from Southern Methodist University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University J.L Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
