Kevin Dunn Biography and Net Worth

Kevin Dunn is the executive producer and chief of global television distribution for World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (WWE), an American entertainment media company. 

For over 30 years, Dunn has played a key role in advancing WWE’s television popularity. His proximity to the company began in 1972 when his father, Dennis Dunn, was hired as executive producer of intermedia productions by WWE founder, Vince McMahon, Sr. After learning the television business from his father, Dunn joined WWE as an associate producer in 1984, guiding the company’s domestic programming. 

Early in his career, Dunn took the opportunity to produce and direct landmark wrestling telecasts including the famed “WrestleMania III.” In the 1987 program, the much-publicized Hulk Hogan produced WWE’s single most identifiable moment when he "slammed" Andre The Giant. The moment is regarded as one of the most successful live events in television history, drawing an in-person crowd of 93,000 with millions more watching via pay-per-view. 

The success of WrestleMania propelled Dunn to additional media exposure outside of the wrestling industry. He produced projects like The Slammy Awards on the early MTV Network, as well as NBC’s hit late-night show, Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Dunn’s rise within WWE includes titles such as supervising producer of domestic television, executive producer of programming, and executive vice president between 1989 and 2003. During this time, Dunn guided WWE’s brief connection with bodybuilding during the television production of the 1992 and 1993 World Bodybuilding Federation Championships.

The television producer has been key in maintaining WWE’s popularity in the 21st century by introducing new hit programs such as Monday Night RAW, WWE SmackDown, and NXT. Today, WWE programming can be seen in 180 countries and heard in 25 languages. 

Dunn has served on WWE’s board of directors since 2008, and he holds a B.A. from Towson State University.
