Thomas Lane Biography and Net Worth

Lane brings to our board of directors more than 30 years of broad financial experience focused within the energy sector. His experience in this area includes 17 years in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs, where he held senior-level coverage responsibility for electric and gas utilities, independent power companies and midstream energy companies throughout the United States, which provides him with a deep understanding of the complexities inherent to delivering strong financial performance in a regulated industry. Since 2017, Lane has served as vice chairman of Energy Capital Partners, following 12 years as a partner of the firm. During this tenure, he has held responsibility for establishing and executing the firm’s investment strategies, which include projects encompassing power generation and renewables, as well as midstream and environmental infrastructure. This experience enables him to add significant value to the board’s oversight of the company’s long-term growth strategy, as does his substantial experience planning and executing merger and acquisition strategies. Having testified before the House Energy Subcommittee on energy-related matters, Lane also brings to the board an understanding of the formulation of energy policy at the federal government level.
