James Savarese is the former chief operating officer at Wayfair, a global home furnishings retailer based in Boston. He is currently at Babson College as an adjunct professor, teaching SME technology and operations management. 

Savarese was at Wayfair for 12 years, guiding its growth from a startup to a Fortune 500 company. In his role, he oversaw a range of global functions, including sales and customer care, supply chain and global operations, the CastleGate fulfillment business, B2B business, product management and merchandising, data analytics, and offshore operations.
