Jimmy Dodd leads our Aviation business segment, overseeing sales, marketing, field support, and product management. In addition to this role, he will also assume the role of acting leader of Energy, Land Mobile, and IoT segments.
Jimmy’s team is focused on helping customers transform their businesses at scale through the power of high-speed, high-quality connectivity. His team is widely recognized for delivering the ‘best Wi-Fi in the sky’ to many of the world’s leading private jet owners and major commercial airlines including Aeromexico, American Airlines, Azul Airlines, Delta Air Lines, EL AL Israel Airlines, Finnair, Icelandair, JetBlue, SAS, United Airlines, and Qantas.
Prior to Viasat, Jimmy held a number of senior-level aviation management and engineering roles at The Boeing Company. He focused on complex Department of Defense/international contracted programs, overseeing strategic planning, execution, engineering, and business development.
Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Arkansas State University and an MBA in Finance from Seattle University.
