In this role, she has global responsibility for Valvoline product strategy & management, brand equity, media and digital marketing, consumer experience, consumer insights, customer support, training and e-commerce.
Previously, she was senior vice president of do-it-yourself (DIY) channels, overseeing sales and marketing for the company’s consumer packaged goods business in North America. She joined Valvoline in 2012 as vice president of global brands.
Before coming to Valvoline, Matheys spent more than 15 years in brand management and advertising at Johnson & Johnson, Novartis AG, Young & Rubicam, and Graham Advertising.
She serves on the board of The Nest – Center for Women, Children and Families.
A native of Wisconsin, Matheys holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and advertising from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in business administration in finance and strategy from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
