John joined Tyler through its 1999 acquisition of Munis, where he served as president (1994-2004), and led the transformation of Munis from a local provider of municipal information systems to a nationwide leader in public sector software. In May of 2002, John was elected to Tyler's board of directors, and in July 2003, he took on the role of chief operating officer. He was promoted to president & CEO in July 2004. John is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and serves on the board of directors for Mercy Hospital in Portland, Maine.
