Kirkpatrick joined Twilio in 2012, leading the San Francisco-based team through its 2016 IPO and subsequent 300 percent gains in the years following.
During his tenure at the company, Kirkpatrick helped scale it from $15 million to $800 million in annual revenue. As CFO, he assisted in raising over $1 billion in capital gains and played a vital role in the multi-billion dollar acquisition of email marketing company, Sendgrid.
Prior to Twilio, Kirkpatrick held leadership roles at a number of San Francisco startups and media companies, including SAY Media, VideoEgg, Kodak Imaging Network, iOwn, and Hyperparallel.
He began his career as an auditor with Atlantic Richfield and then went on to spend nine years at Reuters America serving in various senior finance and operations roles.
Kirkpatrick earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California and his M.B.A. from Columbia University.
