Martin Babinec is a serial entrepreneur and the founder of Silicon Valley based TriNet, a human resources solutions provider.
He founded TriNet in 1988 and served as its CEO from the company’s inception until 2008, when he stepped into the board chairman position until 2010.
In addition to TriNet, Babinec is also the founder and managing director of UpVentures Capital, an early-stage investment firm located in upstate New York that he started in 2013. In 2010, he founded Upstate Venture Connect, a nonprofit public benefit corporation that aims to be a catalyst for the startup ecosystem in upstate New York.
Additionally, he is the founder and chairman of the following organizations: Entrepreneurs Across Borders, StartFast Venture Accelerator, and IntroNet.
Before TriNet, Babinec worked as a human resources manager for Navy Exchanges with assignments in New York, the New England region, Seattle, Japan, Italy and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Babinec earned his B.S. in business administration from Shippensburg University.
