In his role as Interim Chief Legal Officer, David Cebollero leads Western Union’s Legal and Data Protection Group, and is responsible for the overall strategic leadership and oversight of the Company’s global legal affairs, public policy and regulatory affairs, ethics, and privacy efforts.
Alongside his interim role, David serves as Deputy General Counsel and Head of Product & Platform Legal and Strategic Initiatives, with responsibility for providing legal counsel to the Company’s Platform & Product organization and on enterprise-level strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining Western Union in 2007, David was an Associate at Holme, Roberts & Owen in Denver, Colorado, where he worked on a variety of corporate securities, M&A transactions, and financing deals.
David is Six Sigma Green Belt-trained and currently serves as the Executive Sponsor for Western Union’s Hispanic/LatinX employee resource group. He also participated in The Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s C-Suite Leadership Institute.
David has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Weber State University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a juris doctor degree from the University of Denver.
