Jason Gorevic Biography and Net Worth

Jason Gorevic is the chief executive officer of Teladoc Health, a virtual healthcare delivery company. 

Gorevic assumed the role of CEO in 2009 and has helped guide the company to become a world leader in virtual delivery of healthcare. He is noted for his passion for providing universal access to care and improving healthcare outcomes. Under his leadership, Teladoc has delivered millions of medical visits across 175 countries. 

Before joining Teladoc Health, Gorevic was the chief sales and marketing officer of Empire BlueCross BlueShield. He was a key member of the leadership team that generated 20 percent growth in annual earnings per share, ultimately leading to 300 percent market cap growth between its 2002 IPO and its 2005 acquisition by WellPoint. 

Gorevic continued to lead Empire BlueCross BlueShield under WellPoint, Inc. (now Anthem, Inc.) as president the chief marketing and product officer. He also became the president of the acquired Lumenos, Inc., driving enterprise-wide adoption of its consumer-directed health plan which became the company’s fastest-growing product. 

The healthcare executive founded Gemfinity, an electronic marketplace and purchasing aggregator, in 2000. Before starting Gemfinity, Gorevic was the senior vice president of business messaging of Mail.com, a provider of Internet messaging services. He helped take the company public after growing it from 40 employees to 1,000. 

Gorevic began his career with Oxford Health Plans in 1993 as the director of service strategy. He helped design and build a first generation telephone medical advice service staffed by Registered Nurses. This method of utilizing health care resources became industry standard. 

He serves on the board of directors of New York Road Runners and holds a B.A. in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
