Gen. William H. Lyon serves as Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Lyon has served as a director since February 2020. Previously, he was the Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board of William Lyon Homes from March 2016 until our acquisition of William Lyon Homes in February 2020. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of William Lyon Homes from March 2013 through July 2015, and as Co-Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of the Board from July 2015 to March 2016. Since joining William Lyon Homes’ predecessor company in November 1997 as an assistant project manager, Mr. Lyon served in various capacities during his time with the company, including as a Project Manager, the Director of Corporate Development, the Director of Corporate Affairs, Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, and President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Lyon also actively served as the President of William Lyon Financial Services from June 2008 to April 2009, and was appointed to the William Lyon Homes board of directors in 2000. Mr. Lyon is a member of the Board of Directors of Commercial Bank of California and Pretend City Children’s Museum in Irvine, CA and an honorary Board member of The Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, CA. Mr. Lyon holds a dual B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Product Design from Stanford University. Mr. Lyon brings to our Board significant executive and real estate development and homebuilding industry experience, which make him well qualified to serve on our board of directors.
