John Murphy Biography and Net Worth

John R. Murphy was appointed as a director in February 2012. Mr. Murphy served as our Interim Chief Financial Officer from January 2013 to May 2013 and from July 2013 to October 2013. He is the Chairman of our Audit Committee and serves on our Nominating and Governance Committee. He was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation from 2009 to 2010. He served in various senior management roles from 1998 to 2008, including Chief Financial Officer and President and Chief Operating Officer and as President and Chief Executive Officer and director of Accuride Corporation. Accuride Corporation filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in October 2009 and emerged in 2010. Mr. Murphy has served on the Board of Directors of O'Reilly Automotive, Inc. since 2003. He currently serves on the Nominating and Governance Committee, the Audit Committee and as Chairman of the Compensation Committee. He has also served as a director and Audit Committee Chairman of DJO Global Inc. from 2012 until its sale in 2019. In 2019, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of Alight Solutions and Apria Healthcare and serves as Audit Committee Chairman for both companies. Mr. Murphy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado and is a Certified Public Accountant.
