Kathy Horgan is executive vice president and chief human resources and citizenship officer at State Street Corporation, responsible for ensuring that employees feel engaged, valued and committed to the markets and clients they serve. Before Mellon, she was a human resources manager at Boston Scientific Corporation. She began her career with Baxter Healthcare Corporation.
Kathy chairs State Street’s U.S. Benefits Committee and is a member of the company’s Professional Women’s Network and “Leading Women,” a cohort of State Street’s most senior women leaders across the company. Kathy serves on the Board of Trustees for The Conference Board. She also served on the Board of Trustees for Thayer Academy in Braintree, Massachusetts for seven years.
Kathy received a Pinnacle Award from the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce in 2021 for outstanding achievement in business and management.
Kathy has more than 30 years of human resources experience, primarily in financial services, and graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in industrial and labor relations.
