She joined Starbucks just before the company’s initial public offering in 1992, beginning as a part-time barista in Denver. Angela left the company for a brief time and rejoined in 1995 to open the Las Vegas market as a store manager. In 1998, Angela moved back to Colorado and joined the Partner Resources organization as a recruiter during a time of tremendous growth for the company. Over the next ten years, Angela continued to embrace new opportunity and grow her business acumen by supporting different corporate functions like Store Development, Channel Development, and Global Supply Chain.
Angela returned to her roots supporting our retail partners in 2016 when she became senior vice president, Partner Resources, Global Retail. In October 2020, Angela joined the Executive Leadership Team as chief partner officer and executive vice president. As chief partner officer, Angela works to ensure that every one of our 400,000 partners that wear the green apron around the globe has the support to bring the Starbucks Experience to life and the ability to grow and develop their career at the company, just like she has been able to do.
As a steward of our Mission & Values, Angela is incredibly passionate about inclusion, diversity, and equity inside and outside of Starbucks. She currently serves as an executive champion of Starbucks Pride Network, whose mission is to inspire and nurture the LGBTQIA2+ community.
