Peter G. Gurt has served as a director of S&T since 2024. Mr. Gurt is a member of the Compensation & Benefits Committee and Credit Risk Committee. Since 2014, he has been president of Milton Hershey School (MHS), one of the world’s largest private schools. The school’s mission is to provide a home and school to children in social and financial need. In October 2020, he also became the first president of Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning (CHS) a network of Early Childhood Education centers across Pennsylvania. CHS is a subsidiary of MHS with an initial investment of $350 million focused on serving children in need from birth to age five. The school’s trust is the sole proprietor of Hershey Entertainment & Resorts and controlling shareholder of The Hershey Company. He has committed himself to serving his community through roles on the board and Commission for Accreditation at the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools. He has also served on several nonprofit boards throughout this career. Mr. Gurt’s extensive experience as a leader in business and education qualifies to serve on the S&T’s board.

The Commercial and Industrial segment focuses on the companies or manufacturers for the purpose of production, operating capacity, accounts receivable, inventory or equipment financing. The Commercial Construction segment refers to the finance construction of buildings or other structures, as well as to finance the acquisition and development of raw land for various purposes. The Business Banking segment is made to small businesses that are standard, non-complex products evaluated through a streamlined credit approval process that has been designed to maximize efficiency while maintaining high credit quality standards. The Consumer Real Estate segment offers first and second liens such as 1-4 family residential mortgages, home equity loans and home equity lines of credit. The Other Consumer segment consists of individuals that may be secured by assets other than 1-4 family residences, as well as unsecured loans. The company was founded on March 17, 1983 and is headquartered in Indiana, PA.
