He also was a principal in other television stations prior to serving as a General Manager of WPMY (formerly WCWB-TV) from 1984 until 1986. In 1986, Mr. Smith was instrumental in the formation of Sinclair. Mr. Smith serves as a member of the Board of Directors of MileOne Autogroup, Inc., and the majority of its direct and indirect subsidiaries, Cunningham Communications Inc., and Keyser Investment Group, Inc.; is a partner of Gerstell Development, LP.; and is the majority shareholder of the Baltimore Sun.

The Tennis segment offers Tennis Channel, a cable network which includes coverage of tennis' top tournaments and original professional sports, and tennis lifestyle shows; Tennis Channel International streaming service; Tennis Channel Plus streaming service; T2 FAST, a 24-hours a day free ad-supported streaming television channel; and Tennis.com and Pickleballtv. It also provides digital and internet solutions; and technical services, including the design and manufacture of broadcast systems. The company distributes its content through broadcast platforms and third-party platforms that consist of programming provided by third-party networks and syndicators, local news, and other original programming.
