Immediately prior to leading the Army Business Group, Jackson led SAIC’s U.S. Navy business, architecting a full business transformation in three years and enhancing the company’s reputation as a provider of mission-critical IT and engineering services for the Navy and Marine Corps.
Before joining SAIC, Jackson led an engineering team at Huntington Ingalls Industries to design the structural isolation systems for Virginia-class submarines.
Jackson has authored numerous technical papers and journal articles in the fields of engineering, modeling and simulation, workforce development, acquisition and innovation. His current areas of research interest are public-private partnerships and models that drive innovation ecosystems.
Jackson is a member of AFCEA International’s board of directors, which is chartered to foster government and industry collaboration to drive innovation. He is also on the advisory board of George Mason University’s Center for Government Contracting. He has chaired the industry advisory boards for the Virginia Modeling, Analysis & Simulation Center at Old Dominion University and the Hampton Roads Chamber, respectively.
In addition, Jackson is active in several nonprofit organizations supporting clean water and international development and fighting food instability and homelessness. Jackson is a founding member of SAIC’s first council on diversity, equity and inclusion and currently the executive sponsor of the company’s employee resource group for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master of Business Administration from William & Mary. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society. He is also a certified project management professional.
