Amy Weaver is the president and chief legal officer of Salesforce, the cloud-based customer relationship management software company. She will become the company’s CFO in early 2021.
Since joining Salesforce in 2013, Weaver has led the tech company’s integrity and ethics, legal, compliance, internal audit, government affairs, and corporate security teams. She has also played an important role as part of Salesforce’s executive committee and serves as corporate secretary for the board of directors.
Weaver has built out global legal and corporate affairs organizations, and she has driven some of Salesforce’s most critical operational and strategic initiatives. She is expected to play a major role in guiding the completion of Salesforce’s $27.7 billion acquisition of collaborative platform, Slack, announced in December 2020.

She gained experience in financial transactions, securities offerings, credit agreements, acquisitions and joint ventures while practicing law at the firms of Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Perkins Coie LLP. Before entering private practice, she had worked as an aide to the Hong Kong Legislative Council and as a clerk for the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Weaver currently sits on the boards of BSA, Year Up, Merivis, The Software Alliance, The Corporate Pro Bono Institute, Lehigh University, The Berkeley Center for Law and Business, and American Friends of The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. She has also served as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations since 2016.
She has received numerous accolades over the years, including ADL’s Distinguished Jurisprudence Award in 2019, ALM Recorder’s list of "Women Leaders in Tech Law" in 2018, and The San Francisco Business Times’ list of the "Most Influential Women in Business in the Bay Area" in 2016, among others.
Weaver earned her B.A. at Wellesley College and her J.D. at Harvard University.
