Chas Smith is the retired senior vice president and general manager at Roku.

Smith joined the company in 2010 as vice president of sales. In 2012, he took on the role of senior vice president and general manager of original equipment manufacturing, responsible for Roku TV. He was appointed to his most recent role as SVP and GM of Roku TV and Players in 2015, and he announced his retirement in 2019. 

Prior to Roku, Smith operated a consulting company for businesses in the digital media market. He also spent ten years at Avid Technology, most recently as general manager of its worldwide video division. 

He previously worked at Digidesign, where he managed global sales and marketing. Early on in his career, he played keyboard in a Scottish rock band and wrote radio and TV jingles.
