Howard Schwimmer Biography and Net Worth

Howard Schwimmer serves as Rexford Industrial's Co-Chief Executive Officer and is on the Board of Directors of Rexford Industrial Realty, Inc  since July 2013. Mr. Schwimmer has served as Co-Founder and Senior Managing Partner of the predecessor business and President of Rexford Industrial Realty & Management Inc. since December 2001. Rexford Industrial is primarily focused on acquiring vacant and stabilized industrial properties in Southern California and purchases for long-term hold. Rexford operates an industrial real estate portfolio of approximately 5.5 million SF in five investment funds and is currently investing equity for Fund V targeting the acquisition of $300 million of Southern California industrial real estate assets.

Mr. Schwimmer has exclusively focused on Southern California industrial real estate for more than 27 years and has extensive expertise in the areas of property acquisition, development, value-add repositioning, management, sales and leasing. Mr. Schwimmer has demonstrated a successful track record of acquiring, repositioning, developing, leasing, selling and adding value to more than 27 million square feet of industrial properties. For 19 years prior to co-founding Rexford, Mr. Schwimmer was a shareholder, board member, executive vice president and broker of record for a prominent Southern California real estate brokerage company. A licensed California real estate broker, Mr. Schwimmer received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California in 1983 where he majored in business with an emphasis in real estate finance and development. Mr. Schwimmer serves on the board of USC Hillel, American Friends of the Hebrew University and the Jewish Federation, Real Estate Principals Organization (RPO).
