Stephen Winn is the founder, CEO, and chairman of RealPage, a leading rental management software company.

Under Winn’s leadership, RealPage has grown into one of the largest SaaS companies in the U.S. by offering property management solutions across the real estate industry including over 11 million units in the multifamily, commercial, single-family and vacation rental home sectors.

In 2010—the year Winn took RealPage public—the company brought in $50 million in revenue. RealPage’s meteoric rise culminated in the company crossing the $1 billion revenue mark after years of strategic acquisitions including Rentlytics, LeaseLabs, ClickPay, PEX Software, On-Site Manager, American Utility Management, Lease Rent Options, and Axiometrics.

Winn founded RealPage in 1998 after he led the acquisition of Rent Roll, Inc. In his decades-long leadership of the software firm, Winn has been named one of the “Five Most Important Leaders in the Multifamily Industry” by the National Apartment Association, one of Accounting Today’s “100 Most Influential People,” and Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2012.

Before founding RealPage, Winn worked at his father’s company, Computer Language Research, for 27 years. As president and CEO, Winn guided the company as it expanded its offerings for tax research, accounting software and tax compliance. Computer Language Research was acquired by Thomson Reuters Corporation in 1998 as Winn became the president of the Research Institute of America, a Thomson Reuters subsidiary.

The software executive has served on the boards of the National Multifamily Housing Council, the Real Estate Council, the American Business Conference, the American Electronics Association, Stanford University Sloan Board, and St. Mark’s Board of Trustees.

Winn holds an M.S. in management from the Sloan School of Management Science at Stanford University and a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
