Knight has been with the company for 10 years, first signing on in 2011 as the executive vice president of product management and marketing. In his current roles, Knight leads Proofpoint’s marketing and global product management initiatives.

From 1998 to 2002, Knight was the vice president of Portera Systems, a SaaS pioneer that conceived and delivered one of the industry’s first multi-tenant SaaS applications.
Early in his career, Knight held management positions at Sybase and Oracle. He received his B.S. in information systems and industrial management from Carnegie Mellon University and his M.S. in industrial administration from Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business.
