Eduardo Negron Biography and Net Worth

Eduardo J. Negrón-Méndez is Executive Vice President and Manager of the Administration Group at Popular, Inc. He supervises Human Resources, Marketing and Corporate Communications, as well as the Banco Popular Foundations in Puerto Rico and the United States.

Negrón is a Certified Public Accountant and an attorney with substantive experience in government, accounting and legal matters, having worked both at private practice and government agencies. Before joining Popular in 2000, he served as Deputy Secretary of Puerto Rico Department of Treasury. He also practiced law at O’Neill and Borges and public accounting at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. When he joined Popular, he served as Director of the Legal Division and Assistant Secretary of the Board of Directors before being named Manager of the Administration Group in 2008.

Negrón is Trustee and Treasurer at the Fundación Banco Popular de Puerto Rico and the Banco Popular Foundation in the United States, Trustee of Fundación Angel Ramos, and Director at the Fundación Luis Muñoz Marín. He has also held different positions in several nonprofit and professional organizations in Puerto Rico and United States, such as the Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Accountants; the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce; the American Bankers Association; the Financial Services Roundtable; and the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute, among others.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of South Florida and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico.
