William Lynch is the president of Peloton Interactive.
He joined the electronic fitness company in 2017 and is responsible for all operations, including marketing, content, hardware, sales, software and supply chain management. During his tenure, he has helped expand the company into new markets and scale the business.
Prior to signing on with Peloton, Lynch spent two years as the CEO of Savant Systems, a luxury smart home technology company. From 2009 to 2013, he worked for Barnes and Noble, first as the company’s president of Barnes and Noble Digital and then as CEO of the company. During his time there, Lynch helped launch the retailer’s NOOK e-reader and bring it to the consumer market. Over his three years as CEO, his team grew NOOK sales to over $1 billion.
Lynch’s early career was marked by a four-year stint as the vice president of worldwide ecommerce and digital marketing for computer software company Palm Inc. He then moved on to Gifts.com where he served as CEO from 2004 to 2008. Before his time at Barnes and Noble, Lynch spent two years as the executive vice president of marketing and general management at HSN.com from 2006 to 2009.
Lynch received his B.S. in economics from the University of Texas at Austin and his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
