David Hauser Biography and Net Worth

Professional Experience: Mr. Hauser is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FairPoint Communications, Inc., a provider of communication services located in Charlotte, N.C. He served in the role from July 2009 to August 2010 and thereafter served as a consultant until March 2011. From 1998-2009, Mr. Hauser held leadership positions with Duke Energy Corporation including group executive and chief financial officer and vice president and treasurer. Mr. Hauser also currently serves as chairman of the board and chair of the nominating and corporate governance committee of EnPro Industries, Inc. He is a current member of the board of trustees of Furman University and chairs the financial health and resources committee, a former member of the board of trustees of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and he has retired as a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Qualifications: Mr. Hauser’s qualifications to serve as a director of the Company include his extensive utility/regulatory experience and due to his executive leadership experience in serving as the chief executive officer of a publicly-traded company, his financial leadership in utility and regulated businesses, his financial acumen/literacy resulting from his prior performance as chair of the audit committee of another public company and his risk oversight experience developed over many years of leadership positions with publicly-traded companies.
