Steve Owen is executive vice president of sales and marketing of NXP Semiconductors. In this role, he is responsible for a solutions-oriented team focused on our company strategy: Secure Connections for a Smarter World.

During his 22 year career with Philips and NXP, Steve has led a variety of sales and marketing teams promoting the company’s broad-based mixed signal technologies in automotive, communications and mobile as well as the rapidly evolving industrial and IOT markets focusing on secure edge processing.

A specific focus in the last 10 years has been developing the strategy and execution of the plan for the adoption of contactless RF-based secure solutions in the areas of payment, electronic government credentials, access and transit solutions.

Prior to joining Philips Semiconductors Steve worked for a number of years in distribution and sales in the UK at Arrow Electronics and prior to that served 12 years in the Royal Navy as an Electronics Engineer.

Steve earned a bachelor's of science degree in electronics and electrical engineering from the Royal Navy.
