Rasesh Patel Biography and Net Worth

Rasesh serves as President, NRG Consumer, where he oversees the company’s broad portfolio of consumer products and services, including Smart Home and Home Energy, ensuring they work together seamlessly to provide customers with a connected and powerful experience in their home.

He is responsible for directing all aspects of NRG Home, which offers residential power and gas services to millions of customers through multiple brands and channels in the United States and Canada. NRG Home comprises the largest competitive residential electricity business in Texas and the U.S. Within Smart Home, Rasesh oversees sales, marketing, operations, technology platforms and products and services for Vivint, North America’s leading Smart Home company.

Rasesh joined NRG from Vivint, serving as President of Vivint Smart Home since NRG’s acquisition in March 2023. Prior to Vivint, he spent seven years at AT&T where he served in various executive leadership roles before being named chief product and platform officer for AT&T business. In that capacity, Rasesh was responsible for a P&L with $35 billion of annual revenue, as well as its integrated platforms, products, and solutions including fiber, 5G, Edge, IoT, cybersecurity, collaboration, and cloud connectivity.

Prior to its acquisition by AT&T, Rasesh served as senior vice president of customer experience for DIRECTV. Through his focus on developing a seamless omnichannel customer experience, DIRECTV’s NPS improved from third to first in the industry while simultaneously driving significant operating efficiencies.

Rasesh received an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California, Irvine.
