She served as chairman and chief executive officer of Northern Trust Bank of California, N.A. from 1999 through 2005 and as president of Northern Trust Bank of Florida’s Palm Beach Region from 1992 through 1998. Mrs. Barrat joined Northern Trust in 1990 in Miami. Mrs. Barrat is a director of Arthur J. Gallagher & Company (since 2013) and serves as an independent trustee or director of certain Prudential Insurance mutual funds (since 2013).
