Prior to his time at Aetna, Joe held executive positions at companies including Unum Group, where he was senior executive vice president, responsible for the company’s finance, investments, strategy, marketing and risk operations; Brera Capital Partners, a global private equity firm, where he was a partner; and MassMutual Financial Group, where he served as executive vice president of business development and chief financial officer. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand, becoming a partner of the firm’s national insurance practice.
