Michael Dury Biography and Net Worth

Mr. Dury serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Merchants Capital, overseeing all debt and equity platforms. He joined Merchants Capital in 2007 and has held various positions within the firm, including investment officer, Chief Operating Officer, and was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Under his leadership, Merchants Capital has grown from a small FHA lender to a nationally recognized full-service debt and equity provider. He is a member of the executive management team at Merchants Bancorp and has been key to the company’s growth and eventual initial public offering in 2017. Merchants Bancorp has experienced record growth in recent years with a current market capitalization of approximately $1 billion, total assets just over $10 billion, and industry recognition by S&P Global Market Intelligence as the #1 performing public U.S bank over $10 billion in assets.

Mr. Dury is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Commercial RealEstate/Multifamily Finance Board of Governors’ (COMBOG) and was selected as a “Future Leader” by the MBA. He was named to the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 list, recognizing business leaders who have achieved success and excelled in their field before the age of 40. He was also the recipient of the 2020 Indy’s Best and Brightest award presented by Junior Achievement in the banking and financial services industry. He has an undergraduate degree from The University of Notre Dame and an MBA in finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
