Bob White is Executive Vice President and President, Medical Surgical Portfolio for Medtronic. Based in Boulder, Colorado, he is a member of the Medtronic Executive Committee.

In 2015, following the Medtronic acquisition of Covidien, Bob successfully led the integration of the two companies across Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Indian Sub-Continent, South Korea, and Japan. Over 5,000 employees were brought together as one team to deliver technology, services, and solutions to support healthcare providers in both developed and emerging markets.
Previously, Bob has served as President, Emerging Markets, President, Respiratory and Monitoring Solutions, and Vice President and General Manager of Patient Monitoring at Covidien. He has also held leadership positions at GE Healthcare and IBM.
Bob is currently a Non-Executive Director of the Smith+Nephew Board and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). He was also formerly on the boards of the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed), the US-ASEAN Business Council, the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation (APSF), and the National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF).
Bob is also the Executive Sponsor of enterprise-wide culture programs, including the Medtronic Ethical Culture Taskforce and the Medtronic Hispanic Latino Network, and he is also a member of the Executive Steering Committee for Medtronic high-potential differentiated development programs.
Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Cleveland State University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
