Ling Hai is co-president of International Markets for Mastercard and sits on the company’s global management committee. In his new role, he is focused on advancing business strategy, sales, business development, product management and engagements with customers and regulators across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America.
For the seven years prior to this role, he served as co-president of Mastercard’s Asia Pacific region, leading the local delivery of the company’s strategy and business activities. In this role, he achieved significant growth for Mastercard’s business in China and oversaw the company’s efforts to achieve market leadership position in Australia.
Previously, he served as president of Enterprise Partnerships, based in London. Ling Hai originally joined Mastercard in 2010 to serve as division president of Greater China, a role he held for four-and-a-half years.
Ling Hai is a Chairman of Mastercard-NUCC, a joint venture company in bankcard switching headquartered in Beijing. He is an officer of Mastercard Asia/Pacific (Australia) Pty Ltd, as well as a director of the board of Cuscal Limited.
He also serves as a trustee on The College of Saint Rose Board of Trustees. In addition, he is a senior advisory board member of CDIB Capital International, an investment company, and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and fellow of its China Fellowship Program.
Ling Hai graduated from the College of Saint Rose in New York and obtained his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
