Leon Roday Biography and Net Worth

Executive Vice President Leon Roday is the general counsel for Lincoln Financial Group. He oversees all activities for the legal, compliance, government relations and corporate secretary functions of the company, as well as provides strategic counsel to the CEO, senior management team and board of directors. He reports directly to Dennis Glass, president and CEO, and sits on the company’s Senior Management Committee, which drives the company’s long-term strategy.

Most recently, Roday worked for Genworth Financial and GE Financial Assurance where he served as general counsel, executive vice president and secretary to the board for nearly 20 years. Prior to that, he was a partner with LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene and McCrae L.L.P. where he specialized in insurance, litigation and corporate transactions. He began his legal career as an intern for both the Securities and Exchange Commission and the United States Attorney’s Office.

Roday earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He was a past chair of the Insurance Marketplace Standards Association, and sat on the board of the Association of Life Insurance Counsel. He is also a member of the Executive Committee for the Richmond Symphony Board and chaired the Genworth Foundation from 2006 to 2012.
