James (Jim) E. Cline was appointed Chairman of Latham in December 2020 and has been a member of the board of directors since March 2019.
From 2015 through 2020, Jim was President and CEO of Trex Company, Inc., the world's largest manufacturer and leading brand of high-performance, low maintenance outdoor living products, including composite decking, railing, deck lighting and steel deck framing. He has served as Trex’s Chairman of the Board since April 2020.
Jim has held a myriad senior roles within the manufacturing industry, including with Harsco GasServ, the gas technologies business group of Harsco Corporation. In connection with the purchase of Harsco GasServ by Taylor-Wharton International LLC, which was owned by Windpoint Partners Company, Jim served as a consultant to the buyers in 2018 by providing transition management and financial services. Jim also served in various capacities with the Huffy Corporation from 1976 to 1994, including as director of finance of its True Temper Hardware subsidiary, a manufacturer of lawn care and construction products.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in accounting from Bowling Green State University.
