William H. Swanson, 75, has been a member of the L3Harris board since December 2023 and serves as co-chair of our Ad Hoc Business Review and as a member of our Innovation and Cyber Committee. 

Swanson served as chairman of Raytheon Company from 2004 until he retired in 2014 and chief executive officer of Raytheon Company from 2003 to 2014. He joined Raytheon in 1972 and held numerous senior positions, including President of Raytheon from 2002 to 2004, Executive Vice President of Raytheon and President of its Electronic Systems division from 2000 to 2002, and Executive Vice President of Raytheon and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Raytheon Systems Company from 1998 to 2000. 

Swanson is also a member of the board of directors of Hagerty Inc. (since 2021). He previously served as a director of NextEra Energy, Inc. from 2009 to 2021.
