Trina Evans Biography and Net Worth

Trina Evans is the Director of Corporate Center and Chief of Staff for KeyCorp. She is an industry-leading Financial Services Executive with 30+ years of experience. Trina specializes in using communications, marketing and analytics to drive growth, accelerate operating margins and manage risks. She is known for her ability to influence culture, gain business alignment and successfully implement enterprise-wide change.

As the Chief of Staff of KeyCorp, a $180 billion financial services institution, Trina leads enterprise communications, media relations, digital and traditional marketing, employee and client experience, continuous improvement, board relations, government relations, community development, philanthropy and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is a member of the senior executive team, direct report to the CEO and regular presenter to the board of directors.

Trina is responsible for organizing and aligning strategic priorities, tactics, messaging and operating rhythm for the CEO and the executive team. Her divisions play a key role in KeyCorp’s ability to compete against national and global financial services firms by protecting and enhancing Key’s reputation, differentiating value proposition, optimizing go-to-market strategies, delivering client insights and integrating tactics and messaging across all stakeholders—shareholders, board of directors, clients, employees, communities and regulators.

She leads the effort to enhance and advance KeyCorp’s reputation as a responsible bank and socially responsible citizen by delivering a $40 billion community benefits plan. She has led KeyCorp to achieving global ranking amongst competitors large and small, inside and outside the banking industry for philanthropy, community development, sustainability and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Through this work, Trina has earned a reputation as one of the industry’s most ethical and civic-minded leaders. Under her leadership, KeyBank has received an unprecedented 10 consecutive “outstanding” ratings for meeting or exceeding the terms of the Community Reinvestment Act from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Key has also been recognized by DiversityInc. twelve times as a “Top 50” company and seven times by the Civic 50 Points of Light as “one of America’s most community minded companies." She has been recognized as a Woman to Watch by Diversity Magazine and by the YWCA as a Woman of Achievement. Trina chairs the KeyBank Foundation. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank Administration Institute, the leading research partner for the industry. She also serves in executive positions on the Boards of Trustees of the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Cuyahoga Community College Foundation (immediate past Board Chair), the College Now scholarship fund (presently Executive Committee), the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Weatherhead School of Management (Case Western Reserve University) Visiting Committee. She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.

Trina received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management (concentration in Economics and Finance) from Case Western Reserve University and a Master’s in Business Administration (concentration in organizational behavior) from Weatherhead School of Management. She also received a Master’s in Banking from the American Bankers Association, Stonier School of Management at Georgetown University.

She and her husband, Ken, live in Cleveland and have a daughter.
