Steven Vontur Biography and Net Worth

Steven Vontur joined Intuitive Machines in July 2022 as Corporate Controller, bringing leadership and an extensive accounting background to build out the company's accounting and finance functions.  He played a key role in taking Intuitive Machines public in early 2023 and is currently the Chief Accounting Officer responsible for all aspects of accounting, reporting, and financial controls, as well as treasury operations and managing the Company's tax affairs. In January 2024, Steven was appointed as interim Chief Financial Officer of Intuitive Machines. 

Steven has a wide range of proven experiences from his roles in public accounting, working in both public and private company environments, and brings extensive knowledge in both corporate and business unit accounting and finance operations. Prior to joining Intuitive Machines, he worked at several private companies in various capacities, providing public company readiness and other accounting services from September 2020 to June 2022. Steven spent the majority of his career at KBR, Inc. from December 2004 to August 2022, serving in multiple positions of increasing responsibility, ranging from Business Unit Controller to Director of SEC Reporting, Consolidations, and Financial Controls.  Steven began his career in public accounting from 1993 to 2004, primarily in the audit practice of Ernst & Young LLP.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration (accounting) from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas.
