W Torain Biography and Net Worth

Before joining Huron, Torain spent nearly 10 years at Illinois Tool Works Inc (NYSE: ITW) in a variety of roles, most recently serving as Associate General Counsel. In addition to his in-house roles, Ernie had a nearly 20-year career in private practice where he worked for a number of Chicago-based law firms with a focus on M&A and corporate finance. Prior to joining ITW, Torain spent more than six years at Vedder Price where he was a shareholder in the firm's securities and capital markets practice. Torain received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and received his A.B in economics from Dartmouth College. He is a member of The Executive Leadership Council and The Economic Club of Chicago. He also served as a member of the steering committee for the ITW African American Network. Torain will be based in Huron’s Chicago office.
