Scott Kleinman leads Commercial Banking at Huntington. He is responsible for Huntington’s middle market and corporate portfolio, including capital markets and institutional banking, specialty banking, commercial real estate, treasury management and asset finance, as well as credit and risk.

Kleinman previously served as Executive Managing Director of Huntington Capital Markets and has held a variety of senior leadership roles in Huntington’s capital markets and institutional banking business. He joined Huntington in 1991.

Kleinman launched Huntington’s interest rate derivative platform and commodities hedging business. He expanded institutional trading, foreign exchange and public finance capabilities, served as Chief Operating Officer of Capital Markets, chaired the Capital Markets Risk Committee and strengthened the Capital Markets control environment. He serves on the board of Huntington Securities, Inc.

Kleinman earned his bachelor’s degree in public policy and political science from Duke University and his MBA from the Ohio State University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds the Series 7 and 24 securities licenses.

Kleinman is the incoming chair of the American Bankers Association Securities Association. He also serves on the board of the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio, and is chair of the finance committee.
