Kurt D. Allen was appointed Vice President – Exploration effective July 1, 2021.  Prior to his appointment, he was Director of Exploration from 2019 to June 2021. Prior to that, Mr. Allen held various geology positions with Hecla in both exploration and operations including Director of New Projects from 2010 to 2019, Chief Geologist and Exploration Manager at Hecla’s San Sebastian Mine in Durango, Mexico, from 2000 to 2010, and at Hecla’s Rosebud Mine in Winnemucca, Nevada, from 1995 to 2000.  Prior to joining Hecla, he worked in exploration for Geodome Resources and then CoCa Mines until Hecla purchased CoCa Mines in 1990.  Mr. Allen has over 35 years of exploration/operations experience in the mining industry.
