Scott Strazik leads GE Vernova, our portfolio of energy businesses. GE’s energy portfolio operates across nearly 140 countries and includes GE’s Renewable Energy, Power and Digital businesses. Under Scott’s leadership, GE is working alongside customers to lead the energy transition and decarbonize the power sector while delivering dependable, reliable and affordable power to the planet’s biggest economies and its most remote communities.
Scott has more than 20 years of finance, operations and leadership experience with GE, including more than eight years in the company’s power businesses. Prior to joining GE Power, he served for two years as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for GE Aviation’s Commercial Engine Operations organization.
Scott also served as CFO of Gas Power Systems for three years before taking on the role of Sales and Commercial Operations Leader during the launch of GE’s HA gas turbine —one of GE’s most successful new product introductions.
He was named an officer of the General Electric Company in 2015 and President and CEO of GE’s Power Services business in 2017. Scott was named CEO for Gas Power in 2018 and expanded his role to leading the GE Power businesses in 2021.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Labor Relations from Cornell University, as well as a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs with a focus on Economics and Public Policy.
