Carolina Dybeck Happe is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of GE as of March 2020.
In this role, she is responsible for leading GE's overall financial activities and global finance organization, including accounting and controllership, financial planning and analysis, tax, investor relations, internal audit and treasury. She also leads the core Digital Technology function and serves as an executive sponsor of GE’s women’s network.
Prior to joining GE, Carolina served as the Chief Financial Officer at Maersk, where she executed a substantial deleveraging plan and reshaped the company’s portfolio to deliver more profitable growth. She also spent 16 years at Assa Abloy, including seven as Chief Financial Officer, playing a key role in transforming the company from a regional player into a global, digitally enabled leader across multiple domains. Over her tenure as CFO, she helped the company deliver total shareholder return of 170 percent, as well as double-digit sales growth, profit growth and return on invested capital.
Carolina has been recognized as a top-ranked CFO in U.S. and European capital goods multiple years by numerous leading publications and associations. She is a member of the Board of Directors at Ericsson, a leader in digital transformation, and formerly served on the Supervisory Board of E.ON (one of the largest investorowned electric utility providers globally) and as a member of the Board of Directors at Schneider Electric.
Carolina earned a Master of Science in Business and Economics degree from Uppsala University in Sweden. She and her husband have two children and live in Boston, MA.
