Mr. Carpenter is a past member of the board of directors of the American Hospital Association, the past chair of the boards of directors of the Federation of American Hospitals and Nashville Health Care Council, and a past member of the board of directors of Nashville Public Radio. In addition, Mr. Carpenter has served on the boards of directors of many local community organizations, including NashvilleHealth, the Center for Medical Interoperability, and United Way of Greater Nashville. He currently serves as chair of the Montgomery Bell Academy Board of Trust.
