After 22 years as an investment banker on Wall Street, Pamela launched Springboard – Partners in Cross Cultural Leadership, LLC where she has been President since 2003. Springboard is an organizational leadership consulting firm. Springboard conducts research and assessments on inclusive leadership and diversity, develops training and professional development seminars, and provides consulting and executive coaching to organizations in the corporate and non profit sectors. Springboard assists in embedding D&I into People/HR Practices across the organization such that it becomes part of the culture, and can monitor the results.
In 2014, Pamela co-founded The Everest Project research initiative on the challenges and facilitators of women leading change and innovation. Sponsored by Time Warner and Walmart, Everest issued in 2016 a report entitled, The Eve of Change: Women Redefining Corporate America (http://www.springboardleadership.com/research/) which identifies key strategies senior women across affinity groups use to lead transformational change in their organizations. In 2007, Springboard wrote the groundbreaking report, Black Women Executives Research Initiative commissioned by The Executive Leadership Council and sponsored by the Moody’s and JPMorgan Chase foundations. She updated that report in June 2016 in Black Women Executives Research Initiative Revisited. Pamela’s recent consulting and speaking engagements include: Moody’s Investors Service, MetLife, Amgen, CNO, Medtronic, 3M, Out Leadership, Mercer When Women Thrive Conference, Business Insurance Absolute Inclusion Conference, and the Essence Women’s Empowerment Conference.
Pamela retired as a Managing Director in U.S. Equity Research at JPMorgan Chase in May 2003, having also served as Director of U.S. Equity Research for Chase Asset Management from 1996 to 1999. Pamela served on the Global Diversity Council, chaired by CEO William Harrison. Prior to JPMorgan Chase, Pamela was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley beginning in 1982, and was also Co-Director of U.S. and Latin America Equity Research. Pamela began her career as a corporate attorney at the firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.
Pamela is a Director of Evercore (NYSE: EVR); a Director of Columbia Threadneedle Investments, a division of Ameriprise, where she chairs the Governance Committee; and a Trustee of New York Presbyterian Hospital Board where she is a member of the Executive Committee and chairs the Human Resources Committee. In 2016, she was named Trustee of the Year by New York Presbyterian Hospital and honored at the United Hospital Fund. Pamela has served on the Board of Visitors of Yale School of Management, the Board of Visitors of Yale Law School, and the Board of Trustees of Williams College. Pamela earned a B.A. from Williams College serving as their President of Phi Beta Kappa Society. She earned a J.D. from Yale Law School and an M.B.A. from Yale School of Management.
