Scott serves as the Executive Vice President and General Manager, Digital Services, driving strategy and execution for Equinix’s Digital Services business. In this role, Scott develops and leads the strategy, innovation, and continued growth for our Digital Services portfolio, including Equinix Fabric, Equinix Metal, Network Edge, and the Platform and Engineering Services teams.
Prior to joining Equinix, Scott was President and CEO of Concourse Labs, a venture-backed cloud security and compliance company. Previously Scott served at Rackspace as their Executive Vice President and General Manager, responsible for the Private Cloud business. Previously, he served as a member of the board of directors of Cloud Technology Partners, a prominent enterprise cloud consulting and strategy firm sold to Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Scott also served as Senior Vice President of Products at VeriSign, Inc, and Vice President and General Manager at Red Hat, Inc., where his responsibilities included Red Hat Enterprise Linux and OpenShift.
Scott earned an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was a Sloan Fellow, and a B.S., in Computer Science from North Carolina State University. Scott is the co-inventor of seven U.S. patents.
