Until December 2018, he served as the executive chairman of the board of directors of PQ Corporation, a performance chemicals and services company, having served as a member of its board of directors since 2016. Previously, he served as president and chief executive officer of PQ Corporation from July 2016 until August 2018. Mr. Gentilcore served as an executive advisor to CCMP Capital, a global private equity firm, from April 2014 to June 2016.

Prior to that, he was the chief operating officer of Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. Earlier in his career, he spent 10 years in the electronics materials industry with Air Products Inc., serving in various business development and operational roles.

Mr. Gentilcore serves on the advisory board of Pontem Corporation, a special purpose acquisition company formed to pursue an acquisition opportunity in the industrial and technology sectors. He also served as a director for Milacron Holdings Corporation from 2014 to 2019 and KMG Chemicals Inc. from 2014 to 2019.

He holds a B.Sc. from Drexel University and an MBA from Lehigh University.
