Mike Karmilowicz Biography and Net Worth

Mike Karmilowicz is Executive Vice President, Chairman, Everest Global Insurance.

Mike has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, successfully leading, building, and developing large and complex domestic and international businesses.

Mike was appointed to Chairman, Everest Global Insurance in 2024 to advance several growth initiatives including client development, building global distribution partner relationships, and supporting underwriting excellence. Prior to his current role, Mike served as President and CEO of Everest Insurance® from 2020 to 2024 responsible for leading underwriting, product development and innovation, claims, sales and distribution, operations, and strategy globally. Mike also led international expansion opening over a dozen offices worldwide including Continental Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. In 2022, Mike helped establish the Everest Veterans Hiring Initiative, an important program that helps veterans direct their unique skills and experience into fulfilling careers. He has also played an integral role in attracting, recruiting, and developing talent globally across the organization including early talent and leadership development programs. Mike joined Everest Insurance® in 2015 and served as President of Everest Specialty Underwriters Services, LLC (“ESU”). Prior to Everest, Mike spent six years at Zurich in various positions, including as Executive Vice President, Head of Management & Professional Liability. Mike also spent ten years at The Hartford leading several management and professional lines of business.

Mike serves on the Board of Directors of Knighthead Annuity & Life Assurance Company and also serves on the Advisory Board of the Special Operators Transition Foundation (SOTF). Mike received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Villanova University. He is also a graduate of The Wharton School Executive Development Program.
